Muscle Gaining Secrets

Jan 2011

I started a new body building program 4 months ago called Muscle Gaining Secrets by Jason Ferruggia of Renegade Fitness.

It’s basic premise is to build muscle size in the fastest amount of time and get ‘jacked’.

I was just happy to try and increase some muscle size as I always have found it difficult, I do add to the it by my lack of calorie intake where most times is just around maintenance level, not really conducive to gaining size.

You can’t expect to grow muscles or anything if you don’t feed it! Read the rest of this entry »

You have lost weight but did you know it can be an equally tougher problem to stop regaining the same weight?

I realised this was an issue after recently seeing the “Body For Life” (BFL) participants at my gym.

An older male of 40 years, a young guy about mid 20s and a female in her 30s were all previous winners but they had become overweight, again!

I couldn’t understand it, how after all they went through and knowledge learnt that they were so out of shape.

I don’t know much about BFL but it has helped thousands of people to lose weight so obviously it’s an effective method to drop fat, but what went wrong?

If you Google “Biggest loser where are they now” … Season 1 and 3 winner have also regained their weight!

I had a bit of chat with the BFL’ers (a sensitive issue) and a common theme was “it’s still a struggle to try and not eat so much”.

How to go on holidays, eat as much as you want and still lose weight

My Liquid Lunch In Singapore

One of the best things that you can do in life is to go on holidays, eat as much as you want and still lose weight.

Really I can’t think of any thing better!

Well I did just that and it’s easy when you apply just some basic principals but you need to know some facts first.

Setting the scene; I organised a 2 week trip for my wife and myself to travel to Shanghai China for the World Expo for the first week and then the second week come back through Singapore for the celebration of festival of lights called Diwali.

Now if you know Asia, it has very cheap food and drink and I knew it was going to be a big enjoyable calorie feast for most of the time.

Pre-Planning is critical for a big night out or when you go on holidays which can mean continued fitness success or food binge disaster.

So I had to plan a few things.      Read the rest of this entry »

These are 2 of the best muscle building tips on how to build a hot and lean body that I know will work for anyone. Muscle Building Tips How to Build A Hot and Lean Body

It’s taken a few “trial and errors” but I found out the hard way, I hope it will save you some time?

If I tell you then it’s our little secret! … just kiddin’ but hell some people just don’t get it so it doesn’t matter!

Hold on there is a catch, it will be more effective if you discover your own muscle building tips rather than use mine.

Huh? you thought I was going to have all the answers?

Watch out here comes the ZEN: If you think I’m talking in circles well you are partly right.

In ZEN the truth can not really be explained in words, it can only be experienced. (Next time don’t just bench press and count the reps but focus and connect to the muscles doing the work, feel the lift, you’ll get the idea) .

It’s about others pointing the way, it’s a path to take all on your own to progress towards your goals, so create your own bodybuilding tips (hey and then pass them on).

The best fitness source for getting the body you want can be  found in many places.Best fitness Source for Getting the Body You Want

But it’s hard to get the right advice because everybody in your gym, on the internet and the weedy little guy sitting next to you on the bus are all 6 pack abs experts and have the magical formulas for getting fit! Right?, Wrong? or Maybe just a Little?

So it can get confusing and can get worse the more you read or speak to people.

Brad Pilon, the author of the well known strategic fasting book called EAT STOP EAT explains here his frustration on how people still miss the point because of too much information.

“… there are also many people who are now following a low-carb diet, cycling their calories, timing their protein, eating 6 times a day, only eating protein with fat (never carbs) AND following Eat Stop Eat.
This was not what I had envisioned. I was hoping to help people break free from this craziness!” … Brad Pilon October 2010

I mean losing body fat or building muscle is quite easy in theory but put it into practice and most people find it hard to achieve it, why?

One reason, fitness experts contradict each other; still to this day they debate what is the best way to workout or to get into shape.

I have read so much about Crazy Celebrity fad diets that I decided I should try one to see if they really would work.

I picked the Cabbage soup diet only because it went for 7 days and would not be so disruptive in my normal routine. It has also been recommended by medical institutions as a pre-surgery diet so I guess it couldn’t be that bad.

Most diets are not suitable for long-term weight loss but are good for losing weight fast.

The Cabbage Soup Diet is a low-fat & low- calorie, high-fiber diet that should help drop weight fast.

It could be used before you embark on a long-term eating plan.
